These paintings are visual reflections of a Southern Californian artist's
spiritual healing and adaptation to east coast urban environments. These earthy bright colors are imaginary sentimental
substitutions for the reality of the dominating grey and brown shades of industry. Colors are also expressions of Latin heritage,
passion, and personality. All pieces are therapeutic representations pertaining to self-love, heartache, and the soulful incorporation
of Eastern and Western philosophies.
These works can be described as psychedelic, heavily influenced by movements such
as op art, abstract expressionism, and impressionism.
The process of conception has been equally important as the visual birth of these
paintings: Most have been created within the bohemian tradition of recycling materials left on the streets of Manhattan.
